did you put any anti-seize on your studs when you installed the nuts?
I spent like 80$ on a set of spline drive lugs from the auto store and anti-seize every lug nut I take off. Never once had a problem.

I spent around $65 on my mcgards, the two piece ones. They're awesome. I'll never use anything else on the miata.

Last time I had the wheels off, I applied some Bendix brake anti seize on the studs and ran the nuts up and down on them a few times until they moved nice and smooth before re installing the wheels. I'm hoping to never have a problem either with my spline drive "tuner" lugs.

I got the cheap lugs too and never had that problem, simply because I did not bounce up and down on a breaker bar putting them on.

I am Italian so i can call my dad a wop so w.e. I will put some penetrating oil on them, the ones that broke i cant get anything in there to grip them. I was thinking about taking the brake dust plate off but u have to get the wheel off to get to that...so i cant grind them. So the shops dealing with this **** now, and im going to get them to take them all off so if anymore break technically its there fault. And im just going to throw the stocks on for now.

Had a set of wheels locks do the same thing. All four failed when removing them after having a set of steel wheels on the car. Before the nut could fully seat on the surface of the steel wheel the stud bottemed out, caused enough stress to basically pop the top of the wheel lock off. I guess the wheel lock was shallower than the regular lug nut (Protege5).

Boy, you're just a clusterfuck extraordinaire. Mabye if you had bought a torque wrench (they're like $15 at HF you cheap ****) you wouldn't be having this problem.

Go cry to someone else about it, and tell your dad that he wouldn't be having this problem if he had used a ******* condom.

Bullshit. I got my Chinese torque wrench for under $50. You have a Princess Auto where live? How about House of Tools? Pawn shops? Excuses excuses ... I'd still have a Torque wrench even if I had to pay $200 for it.

You are giving your Country a bad name, stop it please.

For the record, my wheel locks failed after being correctly torqued. However I removed them using the undersized socket and hammer trick, I didn't try and drill the ******* things out.
