Do you have a duct molded into your hood, or was that pure metal work? Its hard to tell. Also, were the pins needed after cutting the hood up, or just added protection? My budget is already tapped out...... about 5k ago..... So if I don't need them, it won't have them. If they are needed, so be it.

I didn't pay attention to all the low/high pressure ****... mine works - maybe not the MOST effecient but works none the less... it always lets me know when I have a loose (likely missing) flange bolt as I puff smoke out the vent during decel - sucking oil through bad exhaust valve stems - or the journal bearing.

Bump for opinions. I'm wanting to vent the hood and keep it fairly subtle/clean looking. I'm thinking about a couple of the steel 7 louver panels from ebay. Round the fronts to match the roundness of the hood bulge. Look OK? Can these louvers move enough air out to be worthwhile? Appearance wise straight or angled?

Angled, but the opposite of what you have shown, so the louver starts towards the middle, and angles back away to the side.
Also, I would not round the front, but try to blend in the panel so the edges do not show. Otherwise, it's gonna look ghetto tacked on.

Pretty much any way I am capable of doing it will look iffy at best. I just don't like how big the cooper scoopers are. Trying to find something that will look OK and still function.
I'm trying to find a good spot for this vent without cutting out a piece from the middle. It looks like if it's pushed back an extra 0.5-1" (in the first pic, the other pics already have it moved back) the bracing on the outside edge of the hood won't have to be cut. Does the location seem reasonable? I don't feel like driving around with a magnehelic gauge right now. It's definitely after the radiator, but I'm worried it's a little too far back.

I keep looking at these Peugeot 206 vents. Rotated 180 and placed over/near the front of the exhaust manifold.

Had my vent installed on Sunday. It had to be pushed pretty far forward to clear the throttle body. The hood flexes a little in the front, but it's easy enough to add back some bracing.
