Got my wally 255 installed last night. it was incredibly easy, except that the installation kit I bought had a wiring harness that didn't quite reach from the fuel pump to the holder-thinger.
So I took it to the basement and soldered in a 2" extension.
And then it turned out the other end of the wiring harness was the wrong plug to plug into the holder-thinger. It was very, very close, but the clip was on the wrong side.
So I took it to the basement and cut both harnesses apart and soldered them together so it would work.

Got my injectors yesterday, too! Was super duper excited, ripped open the package, they're sooooo pretty. But no pigtails. Double checked the packaging slip. Definitely supposed to have pigtails. Double checked stock injectors just to make sure they wouldn't fit without pigtails... definitely need pigtails.
Called them this morning, they're going to get a set of pigtails sent out to me. So that sucks. But still itshappening.gif

I'm personally running a DW200 (255lph) with the stock non-referenced and non-return NB1 system and it seems to be doing fine on CA91. Its MUCH quieter than the Walbro 190HP it replaced. It *should* be enough pump for my modest goals when E85 eventually becomes available in my area.

AFRs are right where they were on stock fuel pump, so I don't believe I'm overpowering the FPR. I'm tempted to take it to redline to see if my AFR there is drastically richer than it was on stock FPR, meaning I could turn down my DC a bit--but I think I'd rather just put my new injectors in and not risk it.
I don't mind the scream. It's my constant companion.

My E85 sensor is chilling in my parts pile so I can't comment on this.
But search around I found a thread on ms forums with people having the same issue. In that thread there is this wiring mod to smooth the noisy signal (the thread has a broken link but I h4x)

Cutoff frequency is calculated with the equation:
Using the values above we get a cutoff of ~1500hz
So that circuit that soviet posted filters any frequency above 1500hz won't be seen by the MS.
Flex fuel sensors work by modifying the frequency of the signal to signify different amounts of ethanol. So the megasquirt might be picking up the noise as different frequencies and creating spikes. The range of the GM sensors is like 50-150Hz so I would start with that circuit and see if it made a difference, and then try and change R and C values to get the filtering down to a lower frequency.
I just paid for my GM sensor so I'll definitely by trying this stuff out soon.

Also, that is using the direct MS3 flex fuel input. The MS3x has some sort of hardware capture circuit. Whether it is filtered or not I don't know. The MS3x schematics are embarrassingly bad. Scanned with a potato, and not searchable. I know it at least has a 5V pull-up.
Doing more reading it looks like it is a digital input, so just on or off signal.

You have a basic MS3 no? Same as HHamerly? You will have to play with your soldering iron to add a capacitor.

Also, just so you have the info, the old all metal flex fuel sensor's part number is 12570260 and run about $326. I've seen companies out there selling flex fuel kits with this sensor charging $650 for the sensor and harness alone... tsk tsk... The only advantage of the all metal unit is that the output for it is well documented and linear (and should be available relatively easily in junk yards as it is of 2000-2005 vintage). The output for the new sensor just needs to be documented now that we have the info from Continental.

Yep I've seen it and yes, I'm also on a MSLabs MS3-Basic. I thought HH sold his MS3-B and went Pro? maybe I'm imagining that

I'm hoping I'm smart enough. I'm not as worried about the signal as I am the actual tuning. I'm hoping I will pique curly's interests and he will help me tune the e85, and the table blending.

For those of you like me looking to try this on the cheap, I've made a list of what cars those sensors came from for use in Pick-N-Pulls. Unfortunately the metal one is about the only one you're likely to find.
