Escort/Kia 1.8L motor???

The oil pan has to be aluminum, must have the angle at the bottom (not flat), and the linear or cross hatch grid on the bottom of the oil pan.
150 for a complete Kia engine is sweet.
If you want to restore the 1.6 engine, the engine from a Mercury Capri is the same. A friend used the cylinder head from a MC, just changed the water routing and that was it.
This is my current setup: (Note, this is on a fwd car)
Kia cylinder head
Forged internals (used to have Miata pistons)
Escort GT (or Mazda LX) engine block / BP
Kia alternator
Mazda Miata flywheel and harmonic balancer (damper)
Rx-7 air flow meter / 550cc injectors
GTX Intake Manifold

The way to know if it is the correct one is by looking at the oil pan.

A lot of you guys have gone through the headache and heart ache of making these swaps. I think all of us do appreciate it very much when we get a good answer and are willing to over look some of us that are dumb to the miata world.
When in th eworking and training world it was always great to find something out and be able to share it with others
My question was a little different and Pen helped a lot with it
Thanks again
