So uh.. wishing I hadn't spent what I did to do my conversion... because this GB just came along over on CR.net

Great option for those with 1.6L brakes... you have no excuse keeping them now.

i hated the hps on the street...
i love my hp+s but they are loud as **** (but i have no backing plates, clips, springs, or anti-squel glue)
I need blues soon I'm going to the track in a month.

I went ahead and jumped on this.
I was concerned that the cost of shipping rotors would eat up any savings on the brackets, but it didn't end up being that bad.
Probably saved $40 over buying the pads on ebay, rotors at NAPA, and sourcing brackets.

Went with HPS, as my car is mostly for the street. They're well mannered yet fairly grippy, easy on the rotors, quiet, and not dusty. And they will sruvive just fine the 2x per year I put the car on the track.
I don't think you'd want the HP+ for daily driving with your BBS wheels. If you're looking for street pads, go with the HPS. If you want track pads, go with the Blues.
Total was 140 for pads/rotors + 25 brackets + 25 shipping to the commercial address.
If you want, you can add your order to mine and split shipping.

is this the fucked up 1.8 brake convo where you have to turn the 1.6 caliper upside down? I'd buy this ****, but I'm thinking I'll be better off with 1.8 calipers since I'm going to push the 1.8 brakes to their limits.
