Default I need some wiring help

I bought a Prosport digital water tempeture gauge and the direction were a little unclear. There is a total of four wires. Red is 12V source, Blk is Ground, Green is for the Sensor, Yellow says Battery. Can someone explain to me where to tap the Yellow wire. Does battery means something like ignition? The key needs to be in so the power will stay on or off when the key is removed? I suck at wiring.

That may be a dimmer wire. Yes, their instructions suck...

I would assume it is like this, so that it dims when activated:

FYI Im pretty sure if you hook up the headlight switch it will change the color when you turn the lights on. If you want it the same color all the time just dont hook it up. This is the way my white/amber gauges are. I like em white so i didn't hook up the headlight wire.
