....In my engine bay
Heard a LOUD strange noise backing down my driveway into my garage...pop the hood and this is what was there..

How the hell does this **** happen? If anyone has a fan laying around i'll take it, otherwise i guess i'll go ahead and upgrade to some slim one's here soon.
Also, I never noticed the weird spacing between the blades ont he fan's why do they do that?

Did you have them running continuously? That is the only culprint I can think of.
I will have one in a few months, but being that it's summer now that won't help you any since you can't really wait that long.
Just get some slim ones and call it a day.

I have a spare rad fan, but the motor is weak and has dead spots. If your motor is still good, you can have it for the price of shipping to use the shroud and blades. Let me know, and I'll try to dig it out.

Thanks but I think I'm just going to go ahead and order some good slim fans while I'm replacing this one, might as well. (Why replace something when you can unnecessarily upgrade it? LOL)
You can buy just the fan blades seperate from Mazda
Mazda sells the housing, blades & motor as seperate parts.
Don't ask me how I know.
Lets just say I do not have a BEGi Scoop any more but have a new rad & fan.

Pulled into a parking lot at a slow speed the approach angle was far to step the scoop was pushed back and up into the rad into the ac and fan. As well as the undertray (now toast).
I can tell you that Bell Eng. weld are very good, the scoop is pretty much toast but every weld held up
Side note the car is on stock springs and Koni's set on the lower setting so I am not that low.

I will be making a scoop as well, I found a nice piece of a flexiable plastic/rubber materal that will work. It is almost the right size too.
It is what is left of my old (1 year old) undertray.
