miataturbo.net-like debauchery thread (about the ND or something)

That's a drag, that means no Edelbrock kit for an ND2 then. I emailed them a couple of months ago to ask about it and the response was:
"The tuning software company (ECUTek) has yet to break into the new ECU code & map it completely. No fitment or calibration development will be started on 2019 model vehicle till a stable software version is available to Edelbrock. Check back in a couple months."

That should be cool. Shiv was updating the ND2 constantly for a few weeks and now... silence.
I just swapped another tuner for an Openflash tablet, so I should be able to update it and get the current ND2 tunes for it. I have never done that before, so I need to research how to do that.

Because I'm interested in an ND2 + Edelbrock SC, people need to email EcuTek and ask them to work on the 19+ ECU. Edelbrock already told me they aren't going to work on a kit for the 19+ until EcuTek cracks the new ECU. Here was the response from EcuTek:Hello there,
Thanks for getting in touch.
ND2 ECUs aren't currently supported and unfortunately its not on the road map for the next year at least, the ECU changed substantially during the changeover from the ND1 to the ND2 and we don't have the resources available to dedicate the time required to work on support these. I have added your request to the outstanding ticket so we can judge the demand more accurately and we will be keeping things updated on our Facebook page here.
If you have any further questions please let me know.

The Edelbrock kits, when installed by an ASE certified mechanic, get a 3/36 powertrain warranty.

Edlebrock gets a 3/36 minus actual miles, but factory powertrain is 60. Also, people have been breaking their transmissions at around 60k. Still enticing, but definitely more financial exposure than you might think at first. Also, the warranty tune is reportedly kinda butt.

I would think about getting a great used ND1 RF, put the Edelbrock on it for street fun, then buying an old NC for track fun. You could probably do all that for the same 35k as getting a brand new ND2 and supercharging it. You could also do that right now, as opposed to waiting on Ecutek to do something, which they might never do.

Gotcha. I still couldn't stomach laying out 35k for a new car where you would have to get warranty stuff done through an aftermarket company. I have resigned my newest ND to street stuff only and I might not even put that Openflash tuner on that I have right now. I bought a 2012 NC to start building up as a track car.

May also look at used C7 GS as well. Or I may build a 2.5 NC track car.
Lots of options. So I'm going to take my time as I'd like to keep the next one for awhile.

OFT reflash. Only made a few more whp in upper midrange. DBW maps make if "feel" torquier in low-mid range but it isn't.
RB axle back muffler. Quiet.
300/200 Xida Ace
17x9 6UL
245/40 Conti ECS
Lowered about 20mm
Leg Sport front lip
Supermiata prototype carbon duck bill rear spoiler
Paco seat lowering brackets
Supermiata steering wheel extension
G-Loc GS-1 pads F&R
That's it. No faster than stock. Rides better, handles better, just as quiet. Looks neat.
I suppose its inevitable that we build a 2.5 NC as a track rat at some point. So cheap and fast. Easily match a well prepped 86 lap time wise for about 1/3rd the total project cost.
