My mechanic looked at your car, yeah, I mean over the phone. He says that it sounds like the hobbit that turns the crankcase is depressed and needs therapy. We need to get us a new hobbit. They's from the land beyond time. Land beyond time's also gonna hook us up with the unicorn for the radiator. I ain't even gonna tell you about that haunted air conditioner. Plus the air filter, that's made of plutonium. That's gonna involve Superman, so, y'know, plus shipping from Krypton. Then the cow jumped over the moon.

I recommend getting a can of "thrust" which is the proper type of starting fluid (do not get the generic or it will break!), removing your throttle body, and emptying the whole can into the plenum.

I almost did the same thing as you yesterday... only I am new to the area... and I was driving a fit... and I was smart and didn't drive into the huge puddle. Although there was about 6 inches of standing water the whole drive home from work.

Seriously, even neighbors were surprised how bad the parking lot flooded. My mother said that I had rained over the weekend, all I can think of is that something clogged and caused that sudden flood.

Buffer, I really do hope everything works out for you in this and in your build. Keep us posted, man.

I've got lots of abject fail going on right now, too. I know where you're at.

The engine turned and I was able to start it. I flushed it about 3 times and the oil was still very milky. So I was wondering what if I hook up a line to the sandwich plate turn on the car and feed it oil till all the watery oil gets dumped.

What if you dont find another way to risk catastrophic engine failure by way of you/your friend/a dog/the one armed man/your wife/Hypers mom accidentally knocking over the 15 bottles of oil and/or the large bucket of oil you have lined up as part of the 'procedure' suggested above causing momentary oil starvation/engine failure/hair loss/insanity/ED and flacky scalp?

The oil filter is on the output side of the oil pump, so while you could use it as a place to evacuate oil from the engine, you'd need an external pump to feed pressurized oil into the engine at that point.

They do have such things for flushing automatic transmissions, but I'm thinking it'll be simpler to keep doing what you're doing.

More to the point, how's the engine sound?

Thank you all for your help. The car started up and ran like it did before it hydro-locked.

One less fail to go.

So Im not out of this one yet. The engine runs. It feels as strong as it did before. However there are some issues, the oil pressure is extremely low, yet the dipstick shows more than 3/4 of oil (almost full).

Ive checked, and monitored the oil level constanly since the engine re-started. Yesterday on the way back home I noticed that my oil pressure was crazy low, it idle at ~13psi. Today in the morning I checked the car and there wasnt much oil on the floor just the left overs of a small leak. After starting the car the oil pressure was rather regular, with ~26psi at idle.

I just got home and as I was pulling in I had 0psi wtf . I also have visible smoke after long cruises.

is it time for another motor??
