I've recently had issues with coolant getting into cylinder #4 and am planning a reroute to even out cylinder temperatures. As part of the reroute, I'm considering deleting all those little lines that crawl around the intake providing coolant to idle speed components (on my 1.6, that would be the Air Valve and Idle Speed Control Valve -- see pic). I'd like to get rid of these because:
1. They're ugly and get in the way.
2. They're a failure point. On my 200K mile car, I've had these weep about as often as I've had to deal with the cursed water plug.
I know many of you have deleted these. Those that have, any issues with cold weather drivability? It was 15 degrees here this morning and car is a DD.
