Name that smell
i received my car back from my mechanic while i was at work the other day.
had my timing belt changed and timing advanced along with water pump and tensioner. He informed me both my o2 sensors are bad and need replacing which i already knew.
when i got off work and got in my car, a distinct SKUNK smell hit me.
my car now smells like it has a skunk stuck in the cabin, and is slightly strong enough to smell right outside the car.
is it a bad cat converter? i DO have a rattle in my exhaust which i have been thinking is the converter and bad o2 sensors do add up...am i wrong?

hate to be a hassle....during quick inspection of my car (once again had to run out to the parking lot during work) i noticed the mechanic didnt put in the top two radiator bolts.
are those 10 or 12mm? this will save me the trip to the store if someone says they are only 10. hahaha

Oh, to the original questions. Like brain said, cat's dont smell like skunks. I'd say you need to tell your mechanic to take a shower.
Pretty sure the top radiator bolts are 10mm.

not like this....and the car has the smell when it is sitting still. you dont even have to start it. my clutch is still good for another few thousand miles probably. i havnt had it slipping any.
but i find it REALLY hard to believe my mechanic ran over a skunk, because i am in city, and use mainly highways.
