Default new pics

At the risk of being called the son of hustler, for taking so long to swap motors and turbo setups , I'm posting some new pics of the motor and turbo in the car. Interesting notes: the intercooler pipes on the driver's side extend pretty far into the wheel well. with the wheel turned full right lock there's about 1.5 to 2 inches of clearance. the compressor out tube passes under one of the sway bar mounting bolts. the 1.8 motor places the A/C compressor within a 1/4 inch of my FM front sway bar. will have to drop the sway bar when I finish reinstalling the A/C. Plenty of clearance between the downpipe and the heater hoses. I used FM's method of substituting a flexible radiator hose for the coolant return hose. My BEGI down pipe has the friggin O2 bung that is near the cat located on the ****** bottom of the pipe, totaly useless and I will have to drill and weld a new bung on it. I used to be able to get alot more work done on the car before I got remarried

What are the dimensions on that flexible radiator hose, if you don't mind? I was planning to pick up one of those flexible radiator hoses after seeing FM's install manual, but forgot to take measurements last night. It would save me a trip back out to the parts store

I'd also like to know what diameter and length of the rad hose.

do you realize how much easier my install would have been if I just redid my lower radiator hose similar to that?! But that's crazy talk, I don't work like that.

I went to a junkyard and sourced a new hose of an '88 Accord... an early '80's VW Fox will also work. Elminates the need for the stupid S-bend hardline. Not having AC or PS helps. Junkyards are awesome sources for hose.

You miss the point. The flex rad hose will make it MUCH easier to route I/C piping if you HAVE AC or PS.

yeah, I had to work my pipes around the hose, not to mention my oil drain line had to be redone as the hose sits just under the turbo

I think I found the ID to be 1 1/4", but still not sure on the approximate length. Swapping my rad out soon and would like to use this style of hose.

Our cars are similar colors, both on bronze wheels, same valve cover color, 1.8 swaps, with a bell kit. Scary.
