ok i found a 90 auto dif is it just an open dif? so to use it all i need is the dif in the pumpkin and the stub shafts since i have a vlsd. can i use the pinion and ring gears outta it in my vlsd?

 

you'll use the ring and pinon from the open, but the stubshafts and vlsd unit from the prior....doesn't matter what pumpkin it is in. Chances are the VLSD unit is perfectly fine, what you blew was the ring gear. Swapping guts is all you really have to do.
