From cop's perspective - it is not a major crime requiring someone to blast down the road with sirens screaming and helicopters in the air. It's just a theft - you either get insurance money from your insurer or you don't... because you know, theft coverage is optional and you assume the risk when you don't buy it.

As much as it sucks to hear this, it's just a theft and is potentially not worth a forceful immediate response. Unless of course you can convince everyone that police needs more money so that they can respond to these calls in the shortest amount of time possible.

Regardless - i hope the thieves get caught and handed what they deserve.
I agree. I would be devastated if someone got hurt or was in danger because of my stolen property. If it was for my own safety, I would do the samething thing, and not do anything. As for the insurance, I have full coverage and every receipt from the car and I'm not too worrier about getting my car back or my money, I just want to find the a******* who did this, and I want them to face the consequences.

Did you call the police and see if they can dust for prints and such first?

Glad to see you got it back though, suchs about the damage.

Pretty sure the black **** on the hood is carbon, and you can see where they lifted 3, maybe 4 samples.

Yeah you see all that black crap. There were finger prints everywhere and that's their magic dust. My nice leather seats are now ruined lol.

If the engine is blown insurance is gonna salvage it, so there might be a big part out so stayed tuned.

Gotcha

No oil is odd, but then again I bet they were having a 'good ole time' in your car. In for more photos.

Maybe, as I'm gonna be a freshman in college, I'm definitely not gonna have the time nor the money to basically re start this build. It was fun but I think I want someone more practical as a DD.

Looks like a rats nest where they stole my radio. Looks like they screwed with my wideband wires. None of my gauges turn on.

Right? Dumbasses stole the car, and took the cheapest part. The radio and amp.

people stupid enough to steal a beat up old miata usually aren't the sharpest tools in the shed
glad you got it back. part it, buy a nice clean daily driver, and finish college so you can get a real job and afford a very nice toy in the future

I'm mean I wouldn't say it was a beat up miata. Definitely the cleaner ones around. But definitely not show quality either.

I've been looking around for clean s2k though. Seems like a nice DD for a college student.
