Stolen Turbo Miata
Advice was given with good intention, but saying to police, on record, that you have a weapon and may use it against someone in a situation where your life may not be in danger is borderline questionable and not well thought out. This tactics works well in anecdotes, but in real life it may get one in very serious trouble. From cop's perspective - it is not a major crime requiring someone to blast down the road with sirens screaming and helicopters in the air. It's just a theft - you either get insurance money from your insurer or you don't... because you know, theft coverage is optional and you assume the risk when you don't buy it.
As much as it sucks to hear this, it's just a theft and is potentially not worth a forceful immediate response. Unless of course you can convince everyone that police needs more money so that they can respond to these calls in the shortest amount of time possible.
Regardless - i hope the thieves get caught and handed what they deserve.

No oil is odd, but then again I bet they were having a 'good ole time' in your car. In for more photos.
people stupid enough to steal a beat up old miata usually aren't the sharpest tools in the shed
glad you got it back. part it, buy a nice clean daily driver, and finish college so you can get a real job and afford a very nice toy in the future

I'm mean I wouldn't say it was a beat up miata. Definitely the cleaner ones around. But definitely not show quality either.
I've been looking around for clean s2k though. Seems like a nice DD for a college student.
