Default Tach fix w/ 1.6L + Standalone + COPS

I'm already bent over, ready for the raping I'm about to get for posting this. I know it's been covered somewhere, I just can't seem to find it.

I installed COPS on my '90 miata w/ a MS-PNP, now my tach doesn't work. I've read that there is an issue that needs to be fixed in this situation but in my hours of searching I can't seem to find anything more than, "Put a resister in your diagnostics box." If anyone could shed some light on what needs to be done, or could post a link to the explanation/thread I would greatly appreciate it.

Did you hollow out the 1.6 ignitor to use for a plug and play? If so... you just need to run a resistor between the 12v and the tach signal (i think?)

Check the COP thread and look for the fix for mine. Or check what I'm fairly sure was an updated 1.6l install format/chart that Braineack made.

put a 1K resistor in your diagnostics box, specifically across B+ and IG-. It's in the Coil-On-Plug write-up, in the USEFUL SAVED POSTS section.

1K resistor (Standalone ECU installs only - jump IG- to B+ in the diagnostics box if you have no tach in your gauge cluster)
