I just pulled the same kind of bracing out since I'm swapping diffs, I'll shoot a pic tomorrow, it lies in the garden now I think:gay:

ohhh that makes more sense.

that doesn't limit droop. That's really a true sub frame brace. I'd rather it be backed by something that the bolts goes through, but I don't see that doing anything but good.

Here is Keith's response:

"Team flatspot" was the name of an individual who made a few
> aftermarket parts. He stopped doing it about a decade ago. The braces
> run forward from the forward lower mounting points of the rear control
> arms to the footwell. Very similar braces were added by Mazda in 1995.

This correlates pretty well with the pics posted here.

So is it possible to just pull some bracing off of the 95+, or will there need to be some slight modification?

There was a similar question recently in a thread by Ben about braces. He summarized the rear oem brace situation pretty well.

I just read ben's thread. Im pretty much streight on the whole rear subframe bracing situation. One last question for you all. Any personal advice for the installation? I think Im going to go with the custom job, similar to the one on Hakuna (as refered to under bens thread), but Im going to add those lateral braces reaching forward from the front A-arm in the rear. If anyone has any personal reviews for this sort of mod, please post them right back here. This will probably be done sometime in december.

Weld on an attachment tab then. Don't go straight to the floor.
