Default Exhaust

I am really wanting to to put an exhaust on my car i had wanted to make a diy setup to move the tire under the car but just haven't had time. I dont want something real loud but dont want to kill performance. I have read a couple threads thats some of yall have wrote. I saw a turbo miata driving the other day that was pretty quit but you could really here the turbo spooling i would really like something like that I tried to ask him at a red light but he wouldn't roll his window down. Thanks guys

quiet + spare under the car = hard to do. Big mufflers have to go someplace.

Solution: leave your spare at home.

Most turbo exhausts aren't very loud as the turbo muffles the sound. Just put a nice resonator in or two and should be uber quiet.

And really, you want to move the tire under the car? That seems e-tarded.

I am putting a mathematical equation in this for you:

Fix-a-flat - spare = profit

Almost all of us are running the Enthuza setups. He's a sponsor and makes a great budget (or high end) setup.

Are you planning to run a cat or no? An exhaust with a cat plus a big resonator and a decent sized muffler will be very quiet even with 3". I have no cat, an 18" resonator from summit and a 6" round magnaflow muffler and its kinda on the loud side but definitely not deafening. The cop who pulled me over for doing 70 in a 55 didn't have anything to say about it and even cut me a deal on the ticket because I said I just put a new rear end in and my speedo must be off

My exhaust is basically a replica of the enthuza 2.5". large round magniflow + 18" resonator. No Cat.

My DIY driver's side exit setup used a Dynomax 14" body and had room for a spare underneath....lots of room.

It was kinda loud though, and my u-clamp/auto parts store fitting assembly liked to develop leaks.

I wish you were local, I'd nearly give it to you if you wanted to try it.

Thanks a lot guys todays my birthday and my parents told me there getting me an exhaust just pick one out. So i think i am going to either go with the enthuza turbo exhaust or buy the borla muffler off enthuza's site and some mandrel bent piping and just weld up an exhaust. One more thing i am not sure whether to go with a 2.5 or 3in. My downpipe is 2.5 so would it be stupid to go with 3in pipe would it help it or not thanks

Nope, mine is the same way, and it definitely made a difference.

Gases flow BETTER if they keep gradually expanding, or actually if they keep flowing in directions of lower pressure.
