That last picture adds a lot of reference for the 2' length aidan. Is that shielding fairly stiff?
Pat: You're missing a bellhousing bolt on the transmission. Probably know but figured I'd mention :P Also, nice work. I'd have copied it but also bought the same covers as Aidan. 3' section for by the diff and gas tank too assuming it will fit around the diff and axle.

As an update, my shield I made has dropped the heat going into the footwell area by about half. Very noticeable difference. It still gets fairly warm, but it's wayy better than before. So I assume the transmission is also getting less heat too. I don't have any temp sensors on my transmission though to confirm. I'll try and measure the case temp at some point to see what that shows.

Will report back in a few months if the repair is solid or sooner if it fails again. I think it's fixed now, the sheet metal was extremely thin (about .004"), new is .018" stainless for the replacement tabs.
