I've done a bunch on my older 924s over the years before I got the Miata. All my pictures of them are at www.alexroy.net.
On the Miata, I welded up the intercooler pipes, heat shield, and the downpipe.

Passanger seat cover is in great shape, except for the broken headrest zipper that has been stitched up with fishing line. Cant tell though when the flap is pulled over. Driver side is in good shape, but with normal bolster wear, zipper functional. I'll sell them for cheap, try to have pictures up of the driver side later.

how did you do the lights? crappy universal shift light kit and replace the giant light with a little led or something? I'd like a shift light, for my wrx actually, since the motor sounds pretty much the same right up until you are bouncing off the limiter. The Sti's have one stock and it is real useful.

One seat done. Upper was a breeze compared to the bottom. Hours of hassle. Had to add 1'' of foam on the side bolsters and front section where it goes from gathered to smooth. So while a pain in the ***, it actually has higher bolsters and fits me better. The bottom cover is slightly crooked, but looks good enough. Im going to sit in it for a few months and tighten the cover again, and adjust them again.

I posted this in the "show me your wbo2 gauge placement" thread, but I'll put it here too.
the switch panel completely controls my ignition, from left to right: clutch kill switch, accessories, main ign. Starts with a Honda S2000 starter button, all controlled by relays so I don't put full battery voltage/amps through a little switch before it goes to the starter.
you can barely see the 4th switch above the shift **** (look at above thread for a better pic) but it controls the fans.

That switch panel is bad ***! Are those u-bolts? Pretty genius design I have to say. Id like to do something like that in my next Miata. I probably will end up at least installing a fuel cutoff switch somewhere in my current Miata, since I like the security factor. I had one on my RX7 hidden under the dash. No fuel, no go.

yes, u-bolts. I can't take full credit, I got the idea from FM's trackdog, they had a similar uglier design. so far I've kept the stock ignition for security reasons, but the original idea was to remove it, unfortunately is fairly well integrated to the lights and wipers stocks. In the very far future I'll get rid of the hvac system and replace it with a single switch to control the defroster, and get rid of the stereo. Ideally I'd have an interior like Keith's targa car, or this one, which I love:

there are no door cards on the targa car, just some handles and the latches. unless you call that a door card. The only thing keeping me from doing that is the damn gooey mess under the stock door cards, I may loose the arm rests though.

Oh my god. I will take having to recover seats over door panels any day. I finally got around to doing one of my Katzkin door panel covers, and what a pain in the ***. The old fiberboard was a bit messed up, curved from being wet a few times. No way I was going to use new board and have to cut all of those mounting tab holes in them. The cover itself looks good, but its 2 layers, the back layer being padding and some kind of fabric. No matter how tight I stretched the back layer, the front stayed wrinkled and wouldnt lay flat. Not only that, but a few of the seams were too thick to fold cleanly around the edge of the panel, and got in the way of one of the mounting tabs, and now it drags on the door sill as I close the door. Then you have the upper bolster section that is held on by 5 or 6 screws. What a **** poor design. 3 of the plastic tabs that the screw threads into were broken off, so it flopped around. The front edge of the bolster that goes between the door and the dash isnt tight and sticks out a bit. I dont know how long these will hold up. I could have done the install a bit better, but god the hassle is crap. Kind of wish I had just left them alone, the stock door panels were flawless anyway, I just figured how hard could it be to mount material to a flat door panel.
Sucks doesnt it? PS those spots are oily fingers, not flaws in the material.

I wanna take the stock door handle off and replace it with a strap. looses some weight and gives me some extra arm room.
Those of you with a sharp eye will notice I have one of those pedal extensions on the gas pedal, supposed to help you with heel-toe rev matching, but I have no idea how its supposed to help, it makes the gas pedal a little higher, and you'd have to have a brake pedal as stiff as a rock to keep it above the gas pedal for revving it. it also prevents you from being able to hang your foot off the right of the brake pedal AT ALL, which apparently I do, cause I kept catching on the gas pedal when trying to brake. I have a small leak at one of my brake flares, so once I fix that it'll stiffen up my brake pedal, but even then, I'll probably end up getting rid of it.
