Sorry I missed you. As long as the Hydra has the ability to reduce dwell, you shouldn't have any issues. The harnesses are NOT set up for sequential ignition.

Oh ok... well I know nothing about electrical, so I guess I'll put this off until I'm ready to build my own harness.

[edit] Actually I ordered the parts from you, minus the harness, that way I'll have all I need and will just need to get the harness made up when I'm ready to go.

I have the brackets, they are pimp. I just finished with school so the first few kits will ship tomorrow.

Very cool... I think I'm going to order the harness as well and just run them in dual mode as it should still provide a better spark than OEM. I'm not a fan of having to add wires for sequential.

Shoot me a note via email. I thought about it again and it would be pretty easy to set a harness up for sequential, or even to set one up so that it would be easy for you to convert it over at a later date.

If you have an ECU which can handle seq fire, run the 2 extra wires and DO IT DO IT! It will result in less Vdrop since only half the current is required at any given time, and probably even hotter spark, and definitely longer coil life. No drawbacks. DO IT DO IT.

My next motor will have a crank trigger wheel and a single trigger CAS which should allow MS to fire COPs sequentially. :)

Ben, since I have the AEM and it can handle seq fire, please explain how to run the 2 extra wires. Also, will that mean changing the dwell settings?

I believe you have to change the dwell settings no matter what, the 2 extra wires, are to allow the ECU to handle each coil independantly as currently there are only 2 wires (since they are fired in pairs). I'm guessing you'd have to run 2 wires from the ECU to the coils in question so they all have their own wire, and then configure the ECU to know which wire goes to which coil.

Howdy all. I have been absolutely slammed this week prepping Cal Poly's FSAE car for competition next week (working 9am-1am every day) so I have had virtually no time on here. I'm literally home right now to grab a bite to eat and start my TG download. I will hopefully be getting a few more harnesses out before I leave next week (gone for 4-5 days).

Install instructions for the 94 guys will be easy. You are going to clip one connector off of your stock harness, connect 5 wires (I will mark my harness to make it hustler-proof), and plug the freshly-completed COP harness into your stock wiring.

I have made no adjustments to my MSPNP beyond dropping the dwell from 5.5/5.0 to 3.5/2.5 (cranking/running).
