googled it, apparently it was referenced to a fake thread on some miata forum. I can't be sure it's real or fake though, but based on how the person being interviewed spoke, seems fake. I doub't they would rag on Sony like that. As much as I want it to be real.

also, i don't see where he was ragging on sony at all? i see where he was explaining why they couldn't put out the finished version, and how alot of it is actually gt4 carried over. if it is fake, thats a pretty good barrage of answers. also the fact that an update is coming out kinda reinforces the possiblity that it was real.

IIRC GT5P was already 1080P. This adds to the invalidity of the interview.
Tons of games are still released today only run at 720P. You fail.
This here is interesting. I wonder if it's true.

1080P is no big deal, but having to run at double the frame rate for 3D compatibility is a big ordeal, especially if you are already pushing the limits of the hardware.
What everybody said though, it can always be updated. Cross your fingers.

a small piece of the game?

huh?
braineack: i'm with you. clear is clear when it comes to an lcd screen. maybe with a certain cgi or animated movie there's a difference, but i don't really see it otherwise. also i've been at best buy and saw a good brand 720p look better than a cheap 1080p. some of it has to be the screen settings, color, contrast (if there is that adj. on a lcd) etc...

Regarding 1080P vs 720P. It just depends on how big your TV is, and how close you're sitting to it. I'm sure many people would be just fine with 720P and not even notice the difference. Refer to the graph on this page: http://carltonbale.com/1080p-does-matter
The 720P game comment was a response to jbrownie.
I'm now taking bets on when we can consider this game "fixed".

I haven't played GT5 in 2 days. It should be so much better than it is. 5 years is like 10% of my life expectancy, the game should be at least 2 or 3x as good as GT4 but it's more like 1.5x better. Pisses me off. Granted, I won't be playing any other racing game until GT6, hopefully that won't be shitty. I'm just about done with videogames altogether anyway.
Make up your mind!!

I'm just preaching the truth. After spending a half of a decade waiting on this thing, I end up repurchasing a game I bought for the PS2. I just want to know what the few people who actually are pleased with this game are smoking. Clearly it's some good ****.
