As someone who ALWAYS plays devils advocate, am i the only one who maybe feels sorry for, or questions the actions of the suspect?

I mean, this seems to be happening more and more. People having serious mental health issues and no one seems concerned about that. Sure, we have terrorists and their only agenda is to praise allah, do as much destruction and killing as possible or whatever. But some people may need help and it's more complicated than just "implementing strict gun regulations".

I am very close to someone who has a masters degree in social work and it has completely changed my perspective on people who have these mental health issues.

I see a gay man full of self loathing, which is a common feature of that demographic. It just is. Then I see a history of blaming others for each of his shortcomings instead of taking personal responsibility for them and improving himself. He probably dismissed them as haters instead of looking critically at himself with an eye toward betterment. This is a learned behavior that has been pushed on children for a few decades. Vilification of critics rather than introspection and self assessment has been normalized.

And then there is the jealousy of the attractive, younger, likable reporter that was receiving more accolades and moving upward. When one is a bitter, aging, contentious, less attractive individual, he is certain to garner less favor. If you think everyone is down on you, maybe you are an *******. If you think others are liked more than you, maybe they are more likable than you. Fine, be jealous. Just don't blame everyone else because you have a shitty attitude toward everyone, suck at your job, and aren't as good looking. Get the **** over yourself and learn to do a better job at being employable and promotable and stopw worrying about other people. Someone will always be better, brighter, faster, stronger, and better looking. Get over yourself.
