Pulling up the subfloor in my garage attic so I can install more lighting. I know it would be easier to just drill holes from below and fish wire, but given we own the place it feel like it's good to do it right/better.
The construction differences between your garage roof and mine are profound to me. Your beams are much taller. Mine are two by fours but are trussed and cross braced all over the place making the attic above the garage virtually useless for storage.

Back when a combo of dangerous chemicals and using baby seal fur for polishing made wonderful things... in all fairness this is actually 1918 and a commercial model. Came out of a sock drawer in Arizona. That bluing though!

^ Nice.

We have this box of heads that gets trotted out every time we are lighting a new set here at the station.

They creep me out just a little.

This is a really fascinating video. It's a realtime recording of the Apollo 13 incident, with the flight director (Houston internal) intercom loop in the left channel, and the capcom (spacecraft) radio on the right, starting just before the event and continuing for a full hour, along with a graphical depiction of the AGC DSKY, the spacecraft itself, and film taken during the event.

I'm captivated by crash test videos. That Nissan Tsuru is the old Sentra- likely marketed to third world countries? Ouch.

I rented a Tsuru in Baja for a week last spring. I think it weighed 1600 lbs? It would get stuck in the dust because it was too light. It had a single red LED bulb in the gauge cluster for a warning light. No labels, just "SOMETHING IS WRONG"

But I got to rent a manual, and I never got pulled over, because this is what all the taxis look like in Mexico. My folks went to the same town this week. I told them to rent a SUV.
