Going to pick up a URABUS in Philly tomorrow. Im excited because the trailer I rented* is bad ***. I want one of these.

It's heavy though man... This whole package may be more than my full race mode when all loaded up.

That's badass. During a business trip a couple of years back I met an Austrian engineer, around 50. He seemed all business, when somehow the discussion came around farm tractors. Turns out he had a couple ranging from very early 1900 to 1950, in various states of restoration. He even mentioned they are holding "cars and coffee" type events. These things are awesome, cannot but admire the ingenious mechanical solutions that were used approx. 100 years ago.

I'm going to quote this whenever I see any NOOB MT.net HATE posted on other sites - we're "gonna learn" those guys how to use the search option yet!

Can we create a Sticky with this link in it with Subject "Use the Search Function NOOB!" so that we can easily find it and post a link to it?
- or will that take away "the fun" of e-bashing the NOOB? (some of those threads are quite entertaining, especially when the NOOB gets upset)

Holy smokes. So the trailer weight is 2800lbs, i figured it around 2000lbs. This whole package put me at like 6000lbs. The car has a ton of crap in it but the engine was in the bed of the truck. I'm not sure what the max to rating of the truck is, but it pulled perfectly fine. Had way more than enough power to maintain 70mph in 3rd gear up all the hills. It seemed to have way less load if it downshifted to 2nd, but at that point the engine was turning 5000rpm. Not great for gas mileage.

This mobile uploader SUCKS ****. I can't see the images still. I'll just take my ban now.

You smartly moved the car forward of the trailer axle, so that really helped your tow. You can tell your rear suspension seems happy. But 5000rpm means gas, so I'm not happy.

I really need to put in a word for an amazing show we've been watching. The Last Post, on Amazon Prime video is incredible. The character development, writing, historical context, and the intensity are enthralling. I am at episode 5 and am involved at a level I haven't experienced in quite awhile. The setting is a British military police unit stationed in Aden in the 1960's, when it was a British colony and the locals were not so happy about it. Please watch and comment.

I'll have to check out that show.

On an unrelated note, I've been listening to things designed to turn your childhood on its ear, due in part to Mike Mulligan and the fact that I always assumed the ending to that story was intended to seem tragic and unsettling. It taught me as a young child that, if you fail, memories of past glory will haunt you as live out the remainder of your days in regret, sorrow, and the agony of defeat.

Nothing like "Rainbow Connection" in minor-key as a metal dirge...

Listen loud.
