I learned of my fear of heights at a young age. The only year I was a Boy Scout (I joined solely to do the Soap Box Derby, and promptly left after that, because I didn't care for the other boring junk), we took a tour of the "Walter B. Hall Resource Recovery Facility." Which is named after my grandfather as he was instrumental in getting it built. It burns trash to create steam for the nearby refinery. At one point on the tour we go outside to a staircase to keep going up to see the burners or a sorting area (IIRC this was a LONG time ago), it's those metal grate type walkway/steps that you can see through. I looked down and freaked out! Unfortunately, finding a decent picture of the outside steps of which I speak, is proving difficult.

32v at 160A. This power supply means business.

There are 24 of them in the transmitter. And when you accidentally pop one of them by dead-shorting the output, it makes a loud noise.

Speaking of dead shorts and pops.

How is it that a failing transformer (dead short) can cause such crazy frequencies on the input side? Man i wish i was an electrical engineer and could understand this better.

And the Lord spoke, saying "Let there be a green light on the transmitter."

And the light became green. And the Lord saw that the light was green, and the power output was 100% with zero reflection and proper cabinet balance, and it was good.

This bitch is 19 years old, which is a long time for a 21 kilowatt amplifier. (Officially, it's 97 in cat years.) It can be grumpy, but you learn how to make it happy, and it rewards you.

Even the most easy going, gentle men will scream like an animal and flail about at ungodly frequencies when kicked in the *****.

It cannot. You should probably consider seeking treatment for your drug problem. Talk with your employer's HR department. It's probable that they will have a contact with a provider which offers help at no cost to you, and with 100% confidentiality.

Super Mario 64*:

* = Commodore 64

But then they actually go and do it for real:

And you're like "Whoa, dude, that was Super Mario Bros, but like, on a C64. And it totally didn't suck!"
