I LOL'ed, IRL.
Speaking of flaming, it's only once in a great while when a cover band, replete with hot butch-lesbian drummer, decides "You know what, we're going to do Journey, but we're very specifically going to put our minds to actually doing it every bit as good as the original, and maybe even 1/16" better, because this is the miracle of modern technology!"
And then actually carries through with it.
... edit: and then there's folks like this, whose competent instrumental performance is soured by a vocalist who attempts to cover the song while simultaneously performing fellatio upon a grey whale.
Yeah, it's been that kinda night. All kinds of kitchen prep going on.

Yeah... now I feel old.
The Ford Pinto earned a reputation for bursting into flames when hit from behind. The fuel tank was loosely mounted near some pointy things, and also some hot things. Additionally, said rear-end collision tended to jam the doors shut, preventing escape.
Many people died.
You know that scene in Fight Club where the protagonist is talking about how his job involves determining whether a known vehicle defect warrants a recall, based on the cost of the recall vs. the number of people predicted to be killed or injured by the defect, multiplied by the estimated payout of each lawsuit? Yeah, that was about the Pinto.
Today, that saga is taught as a lesson in every senior-year college course on Law & Ethics in Engineering, and also as a seminal case of Tort law, in law school.

I thought the fight club reference was to the more modern ford crown vic gas tanks killing people. Although the Pinto incidents are more widely known.
Interestingly enough, found a discussion on it possibly being either car.

^ This is true.
Unrelated:
We had these folks in the studio about a year ago. This particular song wasn't part of their set at the time, but it contains one of the most innovative key-changes I have ever heard, at 1:57.

I was stationed at Loring AFB outside of Caribou Maine decades ago. One day I was leaving the base and someone had hit a moose on their way out. Folks were on the side of the road carving meat off the carcass. Moose are really big, but not always bigger than car plus E=MC2.

The moon is super bright tonight.
Decided to get my telescope out for the first time in 10+ years. This is just with the zoom lens. Plan to head into the hot tub and stair up at this while listening to 90s alternative for the next two hours.
This is just poking my pixel into the lens that's all!
With the 10 20 and 30mm it's to hard to focus with the phone.
