That's pretty cool.

Up until a few years ago, you could still buy new dashes from BMW in the $1000-1300 range.

I built a vacuform setup when I was working on my bi-xenon headlights back in the day.

Just a Russian with his Jet engine... 1 hour long video of him designing it and testing it and breaking it and designing it and testing it and breaking it.. you get the idea.

I often wonder whether the diesel crowd chuckle at the miniscule levels of manifold pressure which we consider to be "large."

I recall clearly the first time I rode in a modified diesel pickup. It was about 16 years ago, driving from Cincinnati to St. Louis with a co-worker to make an emergency delivery / installation of an audio console. I noticed that on the A-pillar, he had a boost gauge which went up to something like 80 or 90 PSI. And I remember thinking "that seems kind of silly. Like, why install a gauge with such a large capacity? It'll decrease the effective resolution of the instrument."

Yeah... I didn't know that about diesels... I found it out pretty much as soon as we got onto the freeway.

May only be random to me, was digging through some old boxes and came across the breakout panel I made when I was getting into tuning and building random widgets. This thing allowed me to scope/tap into every signal in the ecu harness. Looks like a nightmare, but proved to be super valuable.

You, sir, are... thorough.

That actually reminds me a tad of a panel I built during the Greddy EMU era. Yours is less ugly.
