How do you like the mic in that location @Godless Commie

EDIT: It looks intelligently placed. No surprises there.

I honestly would not have expected that.
At first, I was like, ummm yes. The Corvette (C4 chassis) was absolutely available with a manual transmission.

Then I reread his post and realized he got it wrong, it's the Alfa Romeo 4C.

And not sure why you are surprised many performance oriented cars have moved to using a DCT.

Yes, you are correct. I believe I did get it wrong--not a typo. Dammit... I failed to properly identify the perpetrator's instrument of terror.

While I don't question their superiority from a performance aspect, I continue to be surprised by the lack of a manual gearbox option in mid-tier vehicles which are not principally intended for competition use, and rather are essentially playthings.

It would be like if Ferrari were to stop offering red as a color choice. Even if there were indisputable evidence that painting a car silvers lowers its drag by 3%, for a whole lot of buyers, that would matter less than the car being red.

And hey, I also missed the 4C / C4 inversion. Didn't think Corvette for some reason, though. Like, taking a 4th gen Corvette with automatic to the track? As a tow vehicle, maybe.

It turned out to be a great location. The only exception is top down high speed driving. All is lost then.
I'd rather not be talking on the phone if I am driving at those speeds, anyway.

For any officers who may be lurking here, high speed driving means bouncing the car between the speed limit and a couple mph below, while using turn signals and stuff.

Regarding the discussion we were having with tracking numbers....
I got a tracking number before they even realized they didn't have the part they were selling!

When my Pixel 4a was stolen at some point in the delivery chain, but the box was still delivered, Google sent me a replacement.

The "approved" and said the replacement would be sent soon. After 8-9 days, I messaged them again, "We've escalated, we are working on your problem."

It was delivered later that day. 3 days later I received a tracking number.
