I think it's time for a career change.
It seems like the majority of my job is double checking other peoples work.

While i'm ranting...
I hired this clown 30 days ago as a mechanic. ($25/hr) to start. It's been 30 days and he still hasn't brought in his tools. He uses mine on occasion. He left half way through the day on Friday he "went home not feeling good" and couldn't see a doctor until Monday. I've got a crew of 5 people, myself included. And not ONE of us has taken a sick day in over 5 years. I don't want to hear none of you boomers talking **** about millennials because this fool is 45 and an ex Marine. He is a disgrace to the armed forces and i think he is going to be the first person i'll have to fire.

I told HR i'm either putting him on a PIP when he comes back. I'm telling him he has until Friday 7am to have all his gear at work or he can leave and not come back until he does. If he frequents this forum, then i guess he'll get a head start.

In other news, i got this really badass drone for christmas. Got it registered, took my drone training and started playing with it. This thing is AWESOME, especially for my first drone.

Duke Energy had to take down 15,000 customers to rescue this guy.

I worked in a machine shop for 9-10 years during/out of highschool/college. I'm glad i'm done with it and walked away with all of my fingers in tact. I have quite a few burn marks from hot chips and few scars from cuts.. During that time i saw a person lose an eye (hot chip went in through a gap on the side of his glasses) I also saw a person almost lose his pointer finger.. one of the long straight chips came out, he tried to pull it with the pliers, the chip grabbed the pliers and pulled his finger in. Just as it skinned his finger to the bone it tore off the workpiece.. young dude in his 20s at the time.. when he was let go in 2008-2009 because of the economy crash he still couldn't move that finger. I watch the shop videos on YouTube and i do miss it but also definitely don't.

Why do these posts show as blank...only showing links when I quote them? This happens a LOT with Braineack's posts on my computer.

You're not alone there. That's the only way I can ever see them, which is a major PITA (unless they do not disappoint).

IB wrote some script that automatically embeds certain links like FB and Twitter, but they don't always work well apparently. when they are quoted, it does not run the embed.
