We Ohioans live too far south to learn how to drive in the snow, but far enough North to get plenty of it. We get all 4 seasons (Almost winter, winter, still winter, and hell), and we're far enough north that summer days are nice and long - which means the 7 hours of light we get in the winter is only enough to **** people off. We're not far enough down the mississippi to get severe flooding, so we open up the dams when it rains in the spring - ---- louisiana. The city people have to live out in farm country, and the farm people have to live out in redneck country. There are only a few truly pretty days each year - but we're ------- stuck here becuase we're right in the middle of all the cool people - chicagoland, nyc, dc, socar...

Oh, and gas is still $3.50/gallon here.

 

When I get a V8 swapped car, I'll buy one that somebody else sunk $20K into, and I'll buy it for $10K.

I'm from NKY and I know for a fact NKY drivers are significantly better than OH-IO drivers. Boom.

I see a lot of equipment is left together in weird positions (i assume to prevent theft?). That would be perfect way to leave the equipment for the weekend on a highway construction project.

I believe many of the more common equipment (John Deere, Caterpillar, etc) share a small set of possible keys. Lots of fun.

I live in a nice neighborhood, but not in the country (not that I'm fooling myself and thinking my local makes me 100% safe) and there are guns in the house, they just don't belong to me. Also, I would have more of a need for a gun if I lived in downtown Cinci

 

I got stuck in Cincinnati once after I missed a connecting flight. I spent about 24 hours in the city and have no opinion on the place. It was rather unremarkable.
