Also, this is GM's latest media effort to persuade Americans to buy diesel cars. Diesel cars currently account for only 3% of sales in the US. In the UK, they account for a little over 50%.
People in the UK pay literally twice as much for regular unleaded as those of you in the US do, which probably explains it to some extent.

 

Boss was in my car for 30 miles and couldn't tell it was a diesel.

 

the other day i was outside and an annoying truck was idling and it bothered me. Then i realized it was a VW beatle.
