This is all from Elecon's website. They make really big power transmission components. Power transmission is cool.

In an hour I'm taking my third test in 4 days. Monday was Materials and Manufacturing, yesterday was Thermodynamics, today is Numerical Methods 2 (Linear Algebra on computers). I just can't bring myself to care about this one.

Next Tuesday I have a Kinematics test. This sucks.

Reminds me of some of the parts I got to see at the Meyer Werft yards when Hull 687 (The Disney Dream) was still on blocks in the drydock assembly building. I wasn't able to snap any pictures, but I did get to stand next to a blade for one of the props just before it was picked up and lowered into position, and it just boggled my mind that such a thing could even be cast as a single piece, much less accurately machined.
I just watched a show on Speed featuring this Eagle that Dan Gurney used to win the '67 Belgian Gran Prix at Spa. This is when putting the majority of the suspension components under the shell began. The upper suspension arm is a rocker connected to the spring which is enclosed in the cowl. I thought that was really cool and ingenious.
