I'm pretty sure everyone know that it was a joke, dude.

And the funny thing (as that picture illustrates) is that the 911 is more of a Beetle than the Beetle, these days.

On the minus side, this means we can expect the 911 to be equipped with a FWD inline-4 in another 10 years or so...
