This big bastard is going to get converted to fretless soon. I've been digging on some Obscura lately and Primus is always my go-to band.


I'm come to the point of just buzzing my hair off whenever it gets long enough that I can see it when I pull it down. Wash, rinse, repeat.

 

I have paid an average of about $2 for my every-3-week haircuts over the last 10 years. And I get all the chixxx.




I do admit that I miss having cute salon girls rubbing my head. It's a strange feeling but very arousing and relaxing at the same time.

It's been awhile since I have picked up mine. Once in awhile I'll free her from the case and play around, but I need to go buy a new cable and find the power cord to my amp and do a little play-along. Don't have an actual pic of mine, but it's pretty much exactly like this- A MIJ 89' Fender P-bass Lyte Deluxe

I have a hard on for the P-bass Lyte. A girl I used to play with had one sitting in a case, it was mint. I tried to buy it from her but she would never let it go.

Take it out and let it breath!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit: Rant time. I have no idea why Fender let **** like the Lyte and the Aerodyne disappear. Those are the only two Fender's that I would ever consider buying again. You couldn't pay me enough to play their current MIM/MIA line. I bought a brand spanking new MIM Jazz and actually gave it away, lol.

I love the P/J pickup style, though. My Yamaha BB can cop all the Fender tones and still have it's own voice.

That's all I've been doing for the last 5+ years, except for one time that I regret actually paying to do such a simple job. Some lady at a local chain gapped my hair all up. Amazing that she could **** up what is basically "take it all off". I went home and fixed it myself. Clippers and a 5/8" guard, and a steady hand for trimming the back and side around the ears.

Dat's a rather schweet instrument ya got there. Reminds me of my old Ibanez Sg405 I had many years ago that was "natural blonde" wood grain. That was one of the deepest basses I had ever played. Not a lot of punch, just seriously clean low-end. I really wish I kept my first bass, it's was a 80-something Washburn. No idea what model, all I can tell you is that it weighed like 40lbs and looke like someone took a blue/black marbled bowling ball and smashed it into the shape of a guitar. I'll never sell the Fender though. It's in prett damn good condition too. I might pick up a new ambient one day as all I have now is an old Laney 15" 100w combo....I hear Lane was some decent stuff too....I don't know much about rigs these days. I'll get a pic of the fender and my awesome stickers up case here tomorrow or something. The bass if really like to have is a 72' reissue Jazz...blue with a solo maple neck and those sexy black block inlays....that neck is super fast and the action is perfect for my hands.

I still to this day don't understand how that STOCK MOTOR is holding up. Its blowing my mind. Seriously.

It spins and spins til its bored from spinning then decides to hook up somewhere around 90mph.

This is the same guy that had that primered built one raising hell around here. I posted his vids before. That one also spun til like 100 or something. He REALLY needs good tires. But then will probably blow his trans/diff.

 

Simple: It hasn't seen boost for much time yet. 5-speed as well?

 

See that's the thing: its daily driven. And every time I see him/it its laying down stripes in 1st/2nd/3rd and getting beat on.

OF course it could be him doing that just when he's out with friends, and drives very carefully otherwise. Of course it could also be built and he's full of it, that I don't know either. But still.

Oh and its a 6sp iirc. Though on his previous he blew up his 6speed doing rolling burnouts.......IN 6TH GEAR
