All of you electronic guys. I'm looking to extend the wire on my headphones. They have 9 wires in them so i need a cable with 9 individual wires in it. Each wire is gauge 30. (They are surround sound headphones)

 

I cant remember if serial cables actually had 9 wires inside. But as far as I know that would be a good start.

What kind of headphones use a 9 conductor cable?

 

True surround sound headphones, 4 speakers per headphone and a microphone.

Serial cables are too fat. It's a cable that goes up to the head set.

Very poorly made however once you work few kinks out such as the cable being too short and bend them out since they are way too tight those headphones are great.

 

Well what I ended up going with is a another spool of straight wire same size as i already had in my house from another project and a spool Techflex 1/8" Expandable Sleeving.
