Thats a good question. Im in the same boat.
Id want a good CPU, 16+ GB DDR3 1600+ Mhz RAM, and a fast HDD.
I have a phenom II quad core and it pegs out to 100% on all cores while compiling video. I also just bought a 128GB Crucial M4 SSD which is going to have adobe programs installed on it. Im plenty happy with my boot times with my WD black 1TB main drive. Id rather have a high speed workspace for photoshop and premiere pro than a fast boot drive.

Note the rack of oil cans next to the fuel pump. It was common to check the oil every time you fueled up because it was common for cars to both leak and burn oil much more readily back then.

I don't like reading all the pissing matches in this thread. I like reading the pictures. Call me childish.
Also we have (quite literally) tens of thousands of threads where you can post pretty much whatever you want without pictures.
You're more than welcome to start a "random picture and video and inane banter nobody cares about" thread. Or if enough people want, I'll convert this one to that and stop moderating or even ever reading it again.
Create a poll, let the people decide. if after a week or two there is at least a 2/3 majority of users who want to post non-pictures in here, it'll be done.
Meanwhile, discuss this at the front desk. Not here. Or else I will don my best narrow moustache and terrible combover and lay down the sperrenschmatzen

I've never noticed these pissing matches...? I just like being able to comment on a picture without having to dig up a picture not really worthy of posting, just to avoid being banned or warned.
