Picked up an '06 Grand Touring last night (although I thought the GT's had a DSC button?)

Red, black top/black leather interior, BOSE (still sucks, I knew it would the BOSE in the wife's Mazda 3 and the one in my 350Z weren't very good either).........6spd, 35k miles, appears to have yellow shocks which means sport package?

Not saving quite as much as I wanted to because I spent a few K more and put it on a shorter term, but still enough to cover all associated fees with going to the track every month in the NA.

Have you already ordered tail light overlays?

You've got me thinking about doing a similar automotive "downgrade," although it's as much driven by my wife's desire to updgrade our house.

I guess I don't get the overlay reference? Some ricer **** ------- do to their cars?

Hehe, we've talked about buying a bigger house...in fact, we go back and forth on it every 6-7 months. Our house is modest, but we are getting ready to refinance to a 10year note, pay extra, and have it paid off before I'm 40.

It's the first thing I would do to make the "Altezza style" tail lights less disappointing.

The less debt you have to service, the more you can save for retirement AND the less income you will need in retirement.

The only reason I am even entertaining the idea is because we would theoretically be buying the new place at about a 20% discount ($/sq ft) to the rest of the neighborhood.

And it has a 3 car garage with ceilings tall enough for a lift.

Ahh, ok.

For us it's more money to travel with.

ALthough I would like to have a house with a proper kitchen for the wife and a 3 car garage for me.

The bad news is, they had multiple offers above listing price before we could even go see it and they had already accepted one.

I know exactly what you mean!

We decided against building in our "dream" neighborhood, all 1 acre lots etc.

Hell we are in Mahattan right now enjoying ourselves with the money we don't spend on a house.
