The iTunes thing is cool, but even with the iPhone I like using myxer (posted previously) better. The iTunes method requires you to already have the song in your library, and then you have to jump through all of those hoops with it. With myxer a lot of what you'd want is already there and search-able, and you can easily edit tracks (to get exactly the part of the song you want) before sending it to the phone.
