I haven't enjoyed a lot of the series... I have personally had 03.03.03, 04.04.04, 05.05.05, 06.06.06, 07.07.07, 07.07.07 Aged in Red Wine Barrels, and 10.10.10 Aged on French Oak. They appealed to me at first, then I lost interest in them. *shoulder shrug*

It was like dirty water.

I had a micro-breweries porter the other day however, and that was very good.

Yuengling is brewed like 15 minutes from my house. Aka, Pottsville pond water. It will always be my "go to" beer.

Drinking one of these tonight

Couldn't find any pics that accurately showed what it looks like poured. It looks pretty much exactly like a good unpasteurized apple cider but with a pretty thick head.

On another note I've been in a beer rut lately. All the good beer I've been getting just tastes "not bad" in a literal sense. I can easily drink cheap beer by just getting over the taste and good beer just is easier to drink, but I'm not getting that relaxing, refreshing ecstasy that I get with a nice juicy burger or what I used to get with good beer. First world problems... /bitching

Boulevard's Rye on Rye is good. Founder's seems to do a good stout. I've had their Breakfast Stout and would assume the Imperial is equally enjoyable, though certainly stronger.

Last night's selections were:

DIRTY BASTARD
Founders Brewing Company | Scotch Ale/Wee Heavy | Michigan | 8.5 % | Goblet | 12 Oz

Solid Wee Heavy. I prefer another local one when on cask but this was good.

FADE TO BLACK 2012 (Volume 4; Rocky Mountain Black Ale)
Left Hand Brewing Company | Black IPA | Colorado | 6.5% | Goblet | 12 oz

Good beer. Seemed a little rough for a cask beer but still tasty with gentle hops.

LEFT HAND MILK STOUT (nitrogen)
Left Hand Brewing Company | Sweet Stout | Colorado | 5.3% | Pint | 16 Oz

oh my god this was like having a stout flavored ice cream. So creamy it actually tasted like cream. Probably served too cold though.

Not a bad list... I do love how Taco Mac and Flying Saucer do that. Unfortunately I don't have either where I live, but do in Charlotte. Not worth my time setting it up though as I rarely go. However, I do review everything I drink on BeerAdvocate. Over 1800 unique brews thus far and I'm still behind quite a bit. :/

If anybody gets a hold of founders backwoods bastard, I strongly recommend it...it might be my favorite beer of all time.

Thanks
Yeah, I'm still a n00b at this. I just got into the beer thing maybe 2 years ago. I'd say I really started paying attention more in the past year though....and I really only stick to IRSs, RIPs, stouts and porters. Sometimes I'll toss in a belgian dark or a fruity/flavored beer, but 99% of the time it's dark beers which makes for a slow growing list lol

It's been forever since I had a youngs, tasty beer though. I'm drinking a founders breakfast stout right now whike eating leftover canneloni. My beer fridge is lacking. I think I have like 20 breakfast stouts, like 6 bells expedition stouts, and like 2 bottles of Troeg's perpetual.

Had a Mississippi mud tonight.
It comes in the right size already so there's no need to open a second one -

Where in the hell did you even find that? I saw "Evil Twin" and immediately assumed Heretic Brewing, but this is way beyond that.
