I had a chance to buy a black 98 Acura 1.6EL with a turbo kit on it for $3000.00
beautiful car... its like a civic with more bells and whistles.
I love it... never got it though, the guy ended up keeping it, it was pretty quick with the D-series turbo though...220whp

As far as turboing on the cheap, get the stock HF manifold and bolt a t3 onto it with a cheap adapter plate. Then just fab a dp that connects to the stock exhaust. If you play your cards right you can do it all for sub $1k. Then just chip an ecu and get someone to tune it.
The interchangablility of parts on honda motors is astounding!

So I bought the car.
Since buying it I've:
- fixed the noisy tranny bearing
- polished the headlights
- put in poly shifter bushings
- modified the AC by adding a resistor to the t-stat to make it colder
- Seafoamed it
- adjusted the valves
- inspected the (new) timing belt
- cleaned the engine bay
Am I weird? I have a 320 whp M3 and this cheap and cheerful car warms my heart.
