The person who told me Go Miata was running a **** business out of the back room told me last night that they got the same spam from him. They weren't happy.

You guys know OG Racing right? One of the biggest safety equipment places and where I bought my helmet.

OG stands for Octopus Gardens which was the name of the porno shack the business was prior to racing equipment.

ask them. they'll think you're awesome and old skool. I think the one original owner moved the shop to woodbridge and it's still in existence and the other guy that was into racing converted the old manassas location to the first og racing shop.

I called Octopus Garden and spoke w/ a very friendly person.

Me: Hi, I was wondering if you guys carried Sparco race seats?

Him (I think it was a "Pat"): Um, no. What were you looking for?

Me: Oh, is this OG Racing?

Pat-type: (laughs) No, this is Octopus Garden. Sorry!

Me: Oh. Do you know if Octopus Garden is associated w/ OG Racing? (fishing to see if this was one of the owners that new about said history).

Pat: No, but I'm sure you could look it up online. Sorry, I wish I could help you.

Me: Thanks, have a nice day!

Pat: You too!

----

So what I got out of this was that the person did not know if there was such a history or relationship. And B, if I need to buy some **** or headshop stuff, I would consider driving to Woodbridge b/c that person was really nice. Not that I would buy either types of items...but just saying.

What a coincidence. I wore this shirt to work today. One of their employees is at a lot of the same track days I go to. I'll make sure to interrogate him about this the next time I run into him.
