I'm not pissed off at ******** in general (unlike what RD thinks of me :jerkit:), i'm disappointed to what it has turned into and the people who are in it and the way it's projected. Yeah, it's fun to do it...for fun. But the shit talking, politics and asshattery (you should know JB.... like that lovely thread over on RD when someone was simply asking about that video of my old car). That's the kinda shit that is going on that i don't want to be associated with.

And for the record, my lack of paticipating in driftin has nothing to do with my GF. Actually, she enjoy's it...we've used her car many times on tire runs and as a support vehicle. It's the shit like what the little ------y muchkin 'i should have been an abortion' fucktard that took upon itself to post false information like that, that i don't want to deal with. I have a life that doesn't revolve around ********.... i had my fun with it and i've decided to move on.

cueball1 08-28-2008 07:49 PM

OK. Reality check. Who here hasn't gone out in the rain or snow to get the back end loose in their car.

Answer?

No one.

We have all "drifted" our cars at one time or another. It just wasn't organized, judged or done lap after lap with the tires rolling smoke and bits of rubber everywhere. ******** is taking the occasional enjoyment of goosing the rear end loose around corners to an extreme. Kind of like burning an ant with a magnifying glass progressing to taking a gas can and match to an ant hill. No wait, that can actually be useful. It's like smoking an occasional dube progressing to inhaling massive amounts of coke. Yeah, I like that one better.

I play hockey, bowl, golf, tennis, autocross, HPDE, drag, bird hunt, watch tv, participate in online forums, etc. All of those things have haters and can be argued as stupid and a waste of time and money.

My take on why there's all the argument? It's not the ******** that's hated, it's the D-rifters.

Stealth97 08-28-2008 07:53 PM

my wife calls it wigglebutts, there is one for you

+1 see above posting

Finally the voices of reason are prevailing.

If I choose to polish the ole' weasel from time to time in the privacy of my own home, that's one thing. It isn't terribly productive, but it feels good and it's quicker & easier than tracking down Hustler's mom every time I'm feeling antsy. Where I'd start having a problem is if a bunch of kids decided to have a series of competitive jerking off matchups, complete with judging, trophies and the Tokico girls, followed some time later by a movie starring Lucas Black entitled "The Fast and the Fruitless", then magazine articles, then whole magazines, etc... It would basically make all men look like complete idiots.

That's the trouble with buttsex, and with and drіfters in general. They go out and act like a bunch of assclowns in public, and worse, spawn a bunch of imitators who then rice up their cars, which serves to reinforce negative stereotypes about import car culture in general. If you want to do donuts and drive sideways, I have no problem with this. Find a nice big parking lot on a rainy weekend and have a blast. God knows I did the first winter after I moved to Ohio (having never previously driven in snow). But if you want to participate in organized competition and pretend to be a real race driver, make sure there's a clock involved.

"the fast and the fruitless":bowrofl:

in all seriousness though, I hate the ------s that drive around town slammed to shit, I mean so low that he has to take a speed bump at an angle in fear of losing an oil pan low...then they have 0 offset wheels and negative camber so bad 80% of the tire is up in the air....all the "option" stickers and other completely stupid shit.....act like "d.rifters" driving like jackasses cutting people off and trying to "d.rift" any chance they get in a traffic congested area.....and d.rifting is not a sport, no matter what the fanbois say its not a sport. its like a fucking beauty contest

I like ******** sorta, I enjoy watching, I like sliding around in my car FWD or RWD. But when you take something like a Dodge Viper and put a bunch of ads on the side and then give it points for sliding around, thats bullshit and I hate it. In my eyes ******** is a 240 or similar, not a fucken Porshe. Taking something that comes souped up from the factory and driving with that is lame. Its working your weak ass job, to buy tires and some performance stuff for your beat up car to go and slide around some curves with your friends, not sponsorships and flame suits.

cueball1 08-28-2008 09:12 PM

Is anyone else appreciating the irony of the dri-fters getting slammed here and going back to the dri-ft forums to bitch about what a-holes this site is made up of vs. all the Mnet bashing that goes on here? Speed nannies and tight mods are complained about here all the time. Isn't the bashing and running off of drift/rice/ers pretty much the same thing?

OK, it's the same but different. We're right, they're wrong. Duh. I forgot about that.

My car's at 12" front and rear. Certainly not "slammed" but I struggle with speed bumps. That's not a good point of complaint in my book.

Hey now! Don't you start using your brain around here! Seriously though, yes this kind of nonsense happens on every forum and it is very ironic and funny.

cueball1 08-28-2008 09:23 PM

There's two things I can't stand. People intolerant of other cultures and the Dutch.

Pretty much what we all do!

No really! We're right and they are wrong! Really. I mean it...

jayc72 08-28-2008 09:50 PM

Ya fuck the dutch and their wooden shoes!

Fergus 08-28-2008 09:58 PM

Ever see a dog sit on it's ass and put it's hind legs out in front of it and then start dragging it's ass along the ground ?

Now supe those bitches up with some flashy gloss wax, hang your shopping list down the side and off you go....That's drlfting :jerkit:

I agree, I don't think the drivers would mind, they probably want to come out anyway.
