It's winter and its really making me miss my bugeye wagon. My acura traction control lightshow is pretty much nonstop when there's snow on the ground even with winter tires lol.

Vlad, how would you spec out a mid 2000's wrx or sti to make it bulletproof as a dd? Lets say budget of 20-30k including the car.

the answer is literally in the post above. I cannot fathom how this car isn't sold yet. It seriously blows my mind.

I was gonna say... Why don't you just buy Vlad's car?
People must be stressed about tax time in April or something. Not to mention all the federal workers who still haven't gone out to get a real job yet

I've been trying to get an idea what my tax return is going to be this year, because my final pay slip of last year seems weird.

It counted the sales of my RSU's as income, but doesn't show the taxes paid when I cashed them out. Which was like $2700-2800 IIRC. Not that it matters, just trying to get an idea of what I'll have next month along with the next sale of RSU's to take care of some stuff.

The new Supra is starting to make me very aroused. I need to put the 135i up for sale. The other half got a new gig, so her new office is only 1 mile from mine so we've been working on getting into the habit of riding together on the days I go into the office. Having one car for even 6 months would really allow me to get ahead on some stuff.

Make sure you cross shop the supra though. It looks 10k over priced on paper.

If I did decide on it, I wouldn't make a jump for something that expensive until it's 2nd-3rd model year. And from what I'm reading, I think Toyota purposefully downtuned (from the Z4 power output) just for the "tuner community."

A tune, wider, stickier tires and potentially a mid-3 0-60. And watched Matt Farah (sp?) video yesterday. The 8spd auto in that car seems to shift every bit as fast, if not faster, than the DCT in my 135i.

But I'm not sure there is really anything else like it? Especially in the sexy, 2 seat coupe market. I guess buy a used 370Z? lol

The Alfa Romeo 4C weighs 1000 pounds less for about the same money.

While I love the 4C (nice suggestion I forgot about those), they quit making the hard top and only make the 4C Spider, which has a $17k higher base starting price than the Supra. There is also the well renowned Alfa reliability. The Giulina Quadfrogiliogloifouiliouifo has been so bad, the magazines with long-term test mules are just flat out saying, "Do not buy one."

The BMW Supra will inevitably have problems, but those will almost all be premature oil leaks vs the stuff you read about with Alfa's.

Anyone here run ELH's other than killerB and have any issues or anything worth mentioning about them? ELH is the route I want to go down but it's getting hard for me to justify the price tag on the holy headers.

Edit: Looking at the maperformance ones right now, they seem... Kinda promising, and 30% cheaper.

Killer B is good. Full race 1.5 scroll is good. ETS is good. I've no direct exp with the new MA header but seems decent. The price diff really isn't much tho, unless you don't know how to find dealz
I'm a big KB fanboi because its lightest, proven to work long term all the way up to 1200hp, design is on point, and overall its all you can ask of a ELH. But the others I mentioned are also good.
You wanna go top feed and e85? I have a set of rails/lines you can haz for pennies

True, I havnt really looked for any used killerB stuff. ETS looks real nice.

Oof, I've had interest in a flexfuel setup but havnt really researched it a whole lot. I will get back to you.

I was burnt out from doing Fsae all year and almost sold the car actually. Glad I didn't.

Well I don't think I can commit to E85 yet. Too many other hobbies I'd rather spend money on right now.

Ordered the maperformance headers though, so I'll be hitting you up for a tune soon 😎

Well, the MAP headers don't fit. Not even close. Should've just bought killerb's

Well well well, if it isn't the consequences of my own actions.

I've got a weird issue with fueling when I'm in closed loop that I noticed on my AFR gauge. I honestly don't know how long this has been happening, and I might just be looking into it too much. I do know for sure that it was happening before I put these EL headers on, and I noticed it after replacing the battery. I'm really good at ignoring small stuff like this though, so who knows.

If im cruising or put it in neutral or I'm idling, AFR will go from 13 to 16-17, kinda bounce around for ~5 seconds, then go back to steady at 14.7. I MIGHT feel it in the way the car drives, but it might be in my head too. The only thing I have currently is a shitty OBD2 scanner from amazon, and it says LTFT is around 5%.
Front o2 and wideband seem to agree, which leads me to believe the front o2 is probably okay.
I'm about to go out there and spray some brake cleaner around the intake and look at STFT, but I would think a vacuum leak would peg LTFT or at least make it read higher than 5%. I'm gonna check for exhaust leaks too.
Cleaned the MAF as well. OL fueling seems steady, its around 10.7 at full boost.

18psi, any suggestions/ideas? I'm sure you've seen this more than I have. This is the only reason I haven't hit you up for a tune yet, so hopefully I find something today.
Besides this, I'm ready to go.

Edit: Yikes. LTFT actually jumps up to 10% at higher RPM/low load. I must have a leak somewhere but I can't find it.

For the longest time, I though the LegacyCentral forum was the best. A few (other) members over there also happen to be hairdressers Miata enthusiasts.
I've also been a Subaru fanboi since I wrenched on my first one before turbo Subarus were even common. I've had a handful of 1st gen Legacy turbos and just sold my last one. I miss it now. My current daily is a EJ205 WRX-swapped '01 Outback on LGT Bilsteins. It's okay for a heavy wagon, but the weight is always apparent, even compared to earlier Subies.
I also happen to have a '07 LGT Limited automatic for sale, if anyone might be interested. I just did the head gaskets, timing belt, tune up, etc... It's a great cruiser or fun, easy daily.
The LegacyCentral is easily the best Subaru forum around. It's my favorite, at least.
