Yessir. Though I don't usually recommend it (unless customer wants and knows the risks), with proper care, street use, and mechanical empathy, I've made up to 450whp on an unopened EJ before. With a giant laggy turbo you can even do more, but I don't like giant laggy turbos.

That's a pretty dyno. And a large top mount. ETS?

Started disassembling my case halves last night for the wagon.

yep ets. I love it. I don't think anyone else makes a 08-18 specific version, which is silly because using previous years tmics is not only narrower than 08+ oem, but also the scoop doesn't line up and is too big. This thing is 10/10 in design, build quality, everything.

Good to know on ETS. Their setup is noticeably cheaper than the Evolution Racewerk setup I've been looking at for the 135i.

Yeah those guys make good parts. I recently installed and tuned their ELH on a 15 sti and it was top notch quality too. Very similar to Full Race

on another note, my BaysonR lip arrived

Fwiw, the new tires on the FRS feel great. The car feels very planted now. Would purchase again

Nice! 'Grats

I always loved beefy tires, in addition to having more contact patch and looking better, they also dampen road imperfections better making a street car more pleasant to drive.

BTW: did I tell you guys I test drove a BRZ a couple weeks ago? oh and that it was supercharged?

Thx. I've already thrown it into a few high speed turns. Definitely goes in the direction that I'm pointing it . This morning I had a bit of a squirm but was controllable, and no tire noise (yet).

Which eh, supercharger was on it?

Jackson Racing CARB rotrex C38 kit. So apparently 280whp according to JR?

It was a lot of fun from 6000-7500, lol

E85 + the high boost pulley puts it up around 400whp IIRC.

I find myself daydreaming about owning a blue Sti hatch.
Now I'm on Craigslist.
I may need to have my girlfriend talk me out of this.

meh, there's no reason to switch from that clean blobeye of yours.

just add injectors/pump, tmic and turbo and you're ready for 350/350 on pump and 400/400 on e85.

or just do the fuel stuff and get to 350hp/400tq ish

That's funny, I actually went out to the garage to look at it so I could stop getting all these crazy ideas.
Today I learned kbb still values it at 20k+.

I have to get it smogged (the great state of kalifornia decided it has to go to a Star station now so I can't smog it myself anymore) but after that a pump and injectors is probably pretty likely.

Maybe I'm just bored. The other day I considered replacing the Miata with a toyobaru.

nothing wrong with that. I love toyobarus.

I think you are bored. A healthy dose of torque increase should cure that for a little while

The twins aren't bad, the BRZ Limited interior is decent and I loved the Ergo's but the stock stereo definitely was lacking. I had had mine for 3 years, and didn't want to drop the $8k-ish it would take to do a PROPER EFR turbo setup with clutch, fuel pump, injectors on the car.

Stock fuel system is good to roughly 300whp, but you're really pushing the duty cycle on the injectors at that point. Good looking cars and without a roll can swallow 18x9.5 with 255/35s........quite a bit of tire for a 2750lb car.

Yeah I really like the ergos on them as well. Everything seems like its right where it should be for me.
If anything ever happens to my NA(sell/crash/theft) I'll very seriously consider an 86 and an NB2.
