Now that I have confirmation the wheels I want will clear the brakes, just have to decide between the semi-gloss black or SBC RPF-1s in 18x9.5.

I thought those new 6ULs were available in the STI bolt pattern too? If I had extra money I'd probably get them but I also really like the gold BBS/WRB colors.

More like September.

And that's not cynical...it's realistic.

I ordered a set of 6ULs from the first batch ever, many, many moons ago. That batch was months late. And that's been a pretty regular thing ever since.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if we saw them sometime 2016, maybe.

AND in only one color in 5x100, even if you preorder a different color.

Is so weird with 949. Most of the time I dont pre-order stuff because I want to know how its going to work in action first. But 949 I dont preorder stuff now because I have no idea when it'll actually exist, but when it does it'll be ****.

First real snowfall of the season and my goodyear ice wrt's did phenomal. Unfortunately, they are only as good the weakest link on the road. Our area was paralyzed due to idiots with a lack of talent/equipment. I have never seen so many stuck/abandoned vehicles.

I'm checking my engine grounds, and I found one on the front right "frame" rail that looks like it used to attach to an exhaust heat shield a couple inches from the O2 sensor. The bolt it attached to is completely gone along with the section of the heat shield the bolt attached to.

Is that a necessary ground, and if so where is a good place that might exist to reattach it on the engine side? I have a new ground strap or two (one of them is pretty long also).

anywhere on the engine will work. header, cam cover bolt, etc.
it's not "essential" but unless you have a good reason not to, I'd run one

Thanks! I attached it to one of the valve cover bolts. I can't tell if it made a difference in the hitching/bucking I had (only driven it 5 miles since I did the fix), but it certainly isn't worse.

Mah Saabroo is smelling like gas. This is a common issue from what I have read as the rubber fuel hoses expand or 'stiffen' during very cold weather spilling gas onto the block. Gonna have to take care of it when it gets warmer.

I mean who knew a car designed for cold weather would have common cold weather issues.

Had my fuel lines fixed last year. It only leaked when it got really cold. So far so good this year.

I pulled the deposit on the WRX and got a gray '15 BRZ instead. The NC is gone and I plan on taking the BRZ to a track day next month and show those Prius tires who's boss. Anyone interested in a low mile 01 SE with 69k?

Nice. I think if I was tracking a lot I'd probably take a brz over a wrx too. Street car only, wrx all day.

because torque

Sounds vaguely familiar!

First step before you track it, OIL COOLER! These things apparently run insanely high oil temps on track, even stock. Like approaching 300°

You need picha's.

Only thing I hate about the twins are the stock wheels. Its not that I don't like them....I hate them.

What year / model do you have? Subaru has a recall for this but it doesn't extend to 2004s (i had a 2004 at the time), and the dealerships were no help but I called SOA and they eventually good willed the repair. Had this fixed under the recall for free, since it's the exact same problem but the dealer was refusing to acknowledge it. You might be able to get SOA to help you, but first you have to get a dealership to confirm the fuel leak. This was just in 2013 too, so way out of the warranty period.

Man, the torque dip I have read so much about is no joke. Zero pull around town. I got the base model and I really am kind of disappointed in it.
