A tune helps out big time. I like my OFT, but if you ever want to run E85 (the OFT can but it's a bigger pain), go with a Moto-East or Delicious Tuning E85 kit and EcuTek tune.

I never even considered the Premium. The Limited was only $2k more and only weighs 10lbs more.

I've always been curious what the weight difference is between my base lgt and an lgt limited since they have a moon roof and a lot more crap. Anyone know?

Where are you gettting all of your research/reading done? I find nothing but flat-brim and stance idiocy.

This car is really disappointing me. I have a track day with Ari on March 21st and I will run the BRZ there. If it doesn't win me over, I really think I will sell it.

Had this fixed under the recall for free, since it's the exact same problem but the dealer was refusing to acknowledge it. Its an 05 Saabru. My chances of a dealer covering this is 0-none. Saab no longer exists, and its an 05 so Subaru will be all like...na Bro, recall be all like 02-03, here's a flat brim hat!!!

So yeah, I will prolly pull stuff apart in the summer and make fix.

This happened to my subaru before, I just cycled the key off, and back on, everything worked. Guess maybe it was the ignition switch, it did it once, never done it since.

cool. Im assuming it was something in the ign. switch--it hasnt happened again.

newest oddness was I drove to the store the other day and my clutch pedal felt odd, like it had air in the line or something. like i could feel resistance on my foot, like a vibration or binding spring, if that makes sense.

i pulled over, stopped the car. tried the pedal without the engine running, it felt fine again, started it back up and it was normal again.

it really only slips if i give it gas in 4th or 5th and hit 3K, so i try not to do that.

So I had to valet my car this weekend. When I got it back, the whole inside REEKED of burned clutch.

I hate cities. I honestly can't imagine what they did to make the car smell that bad of clutch unless they were trying to do a burnout in a dead-cold AWD station wagon. If you're just bad at it, you should still not create that much stink! It took 10 minutes for the clutch to even start acting right again, and probably 20 minutes of driving with the sunroof open and my window cracked before the smell went away.

Or the one valet who "knew how to drive manual" used your car to "teach" somebody.

Have you guys seen those videos of places joyriding cars and posting up on YT?

I don't let anyone valet my cars. Ever. For any reason.

I learned my lesson. Probably at the expense of 1000 miles off the life of my clutch.

Non sequitor but has anyone used a gen2 LGT scoop on an NA/NB as a vent? I looked in the DIYAero thread and searched Legacy Duct and looked through the old hood vent thread from '08 and didn't find anything... maybe outdated pics and broken links.

I know there are some common options these days, namely the mini scooper, the pass's louvers, FM louvers and GT500 louvers but like the LGT scoop more because it rides flush with the hood rather than protrudes.

I know nothing about aerodynamics but it seems with full ducting pre-and-post rad/intercooler that a smaller outlet such as the LGT outlet will fit the meredith effect well?

Just looking for pics to see if looks awesome and if it has worked for anyone for successful cooling. Plus, used ones on the bay are less than the aforementioned options.
