Sticky throttle is a common problem for Porsche. Just ask Ryan Dunn, or James Dean.

I'm sure he unseated the tire when he hopped the curb the firs time, then with all that back and forth it worked off the wheel.

I think he messed up with his launch and didn't want to relent afterwards out of embarrassment. Kept his right foot in it and made matters worse.
