Aren't there quite a lot of Subaru guys making just silly amounts of power on their WRXs? Does anybody know what sort of actual torque numbers they're typically producing? As odd as it sounds, I've not had a lot of luck finding actual dyno sheets- just peak HP numbers and cameraphone videos of cars on the dyno.
My point being that it seems a Scooby transaxle would be a lot easier (and cheaper) to source than a G50, the layout is correct, the size is correct, and somebody's gotta make a plate to hang an SBC on one. If it's possible to build one to withstand 600-700 ft/lbs, that might be the hot ticket.

Yeah, I know. You guys get a lot of rain-free days there in Nebraska?
Hmm, not seeing much above 400-450 ft/lbs there... No way we're going to get much above 550 HP like that without spinning the engine up to speeds that I'm not sure a pushrod V8 would enjoy.
Does anybody know what the stock redline on an LSx is?

Yeah, so what's your point?
That's why I have six cars/trucks now. Just drive the appropriate vehicle for the weather conditions that day. This would trim me down to four - New truck, old truck, wife's DD, my toy car. Ditch three Miatas. Fair trade.
I still like the Rocket from Six-River Racing. According to their website its weight 1,000 lbs with a Ford Focus drive train. Throw a turbo on that motor to get whp/tq above 250 and you have one bad *** machine. The Rocket comes with an engine cover and I think you could easily have some side panels and a snap on vinyl top fabed up.

Ah, I'm not a geek after all. I thought the speed limit was 12mph, but I was wrong. Ducked that one.
OT though, I've always liked he idea of a 1st get Vett replica. Same as the Cobra, just not so common.

The Batmobile kit is the real deal! They are in production. Here's the link to the manufacturer.

Ha! If you recall, Tyrol uses exactly that term to describe Athena in the last episode.
... which of course you can interpret to mean that I searched Google for Boomer blow up doll.
Not that I was going to buy one or anything.
Just looking.

I have a build sheet for a mild street 8500rpm SBF once someone buys the twins & my drivetrain.
