Did someone say white keyboard?
X-mas gift from the girlfriend. And she spent way too much money on it - $175 ><. But I've wanted one of these for years. |
are you serious? I have that same one in my basement, from my 286.
I even have the chart that shows the F functions in Word Perfect. |

You have a Model M 84-key Spacesaver that is PS/2?
They go for $100+ working, you frequently see them hit $200 for mint condition ones like that one. |
And "reverse" racism lives?

AT ones are even fairly valuable (Mint, you'll see $120-$150), XT ones aren't worth crap typically. |
What about the QBX and the OBX?

Model M spacesavers are rare. It inflates the price considerably - I looked for years before I finally got talked into that one. Although I do find it funny that your keyboard is more valuable than the whole PC it came on ;). |

I was pissed when I found out my Mom threw away my original Texas Instruments TI 99/4A. Had the box, and all the games still. Still have the games and the monitor we used with it, but alas, no TI.
http://www.phantom.sannata.ru/museum...i99_4a_src.jpg This shit was awesome....i wish there was an emulator with all my games. |

I've got some stuff I kick myself for getting rid of. However, keyboards like the Model M are continually rising in price due to people like me. Software engineers type all freaking day. It is worth an immense amount of cash for me to have a keyboard that has the best typing feel I can get - especially when it's something like the spacesaver, where I can fit a mouse where the 10-key goes on any keyboard tray. |
White keyboard history month.. anyone?

I had some leftover chili spaghetti when I got home from work yesterday and for dinner I found some Steak & Shake coupons and decided to hit them up for a $2.99 Steak Frank w/fries. Tonight is a mystery...maybe some Chicken Helper and Pasta Roni. |

Out of curiosity - why would you throw away a model M?
I did enjoy keeping a small stash of these and giving them to the people I liked around the office. http://www.dengler.net/SK-8135/SK-8135.jpg This one is pretty boss... http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_H5aCAhlHRj.../Keyboard1.JPG http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_H5aCAhlHRj.../Keyboard3.JPG Now back to talking about food. Man, I could go for some Checker's/Rally's. |
aren't they loud?
|
I just had Arby's. Then came back to the office to find out they catered Chick-Fil-A for a meeting and there was a ton of leftovers. Double win!
|
hahah. i hate when that happens. its a waste of money.

Depends on how much one is in love with the cheezes.
Dinner last night was a bowl of Rice-a-Roni and some creamed corn. Breakfast today was a Marks & Spencer cappuccino white and milk chocolate bar...and a Mtn. Dew. http://www.imagelinkers.com/out.php/..._Breakfast.jpg And what the bar looked like before I ate it. No actual picture from me as my mouth was quicker to act than my hands were to take a picture. http://cocoa-heaven.com/wp-content/u...cappuccino.jpg |

So wait...with your crazy socialist government and the terrible healthcare plan and whatnot that everyone knocks on, you were still able to get medicine within a day or two of getting sick? IMPOSSIBLE!!! Only in the U.S. can people get treated when they feel like going to the doctor!!
Got a cough? Must be depressed! Urinating blood? Depressed Cant sleep? Depressed Filling fell out? Not possible, likely depressed. as for our healthcare, i think the only complaints with people around here is the wait times. I have waited 3 months for knee surgery while on crutches. I have waited with both my son and or myself 6+ hours in emerg + multiple hours in another waiting room or room / storage facility (yea, really). But hey, we pay out the ass on everything so it would be silly to expect enough hospital staff (surgeons are majorly underpaid here). I think US surgeons make around 50% more and do a fraction of the surgeries (according to the show i watched a few weeks back). 14% tax on everything from food, taking a dump to breathing. Its a huge sham! And if you are a white boy just like me, times are changing. Visible minority, get in line sucka is what they are saying. YEA CANADA! |
Eh..ER visits aren't exactly fast here either. When I had an accident and my achilles tendon was severed in half, I had to wait in the ER wating room for 3 hours. I couldn't even move to go anywhere because they had no wheelchairs available. But when I got stung by a bee and was complaining of chest and back pain...boy did I get into a room in about 2.5 seconds! The medical plan I have right now from my job has me paying out $2,500 before they cover ANYTHING.
Dammit...why do we keep getting off the subject of food? I'm almost tempted to go hit up Arby's for a Roast Chicken Club. |
Three-quarters of all medical spending goes to treat largely preventable chronic diseases. Most are caused by individuals failing to control their own smoking, alcohol consumption, obesity, blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol.
What we should so is make it illegal to smoke, drink alcohol, eat McDonalds, get mad, eat candy, eat trans fats. Problem solved. |

You know what might work too? If all citizens were required to exercise daily. We could install telescreens into our homes and the gov't could monitor us and make sure we were doing our routines.

Doesn't ANYONE eat real food? Just curious...

Define "real".

I guess something that uses less than 10% premade ingredients.
|
I just ate Chick-Fil-A. I was able to feel it with my hands and taste it with my mouth...so I'm going to go out on a limb here and consider that "real" food.
