You do realize that Luther Vandross, for whom that burger is named, had a stroke at the age of 52 and then died from a heart attack at age 54? Anyway, lunch today. Lamb and rice with tomato, from the guy with the cart on the corner of Hudson & Varick. https://i.imgur.com/EJjEA.jpg Remember when tomatoes used to be red and have a flavor? |

Steaks and you post a picture of your salad??

Ranch... Making your healthy meal into a fatty meal since 1992.

the whole "eating fat makes you fat" is a myth.
unless it's "low fat" then it makes you fat. |

Today, JDM all the way. Katsu-karē from Go Go Curry! on 38th at 8th.
Attachment 240359 I never knew that curry was a popular Japanese dish, but apparently this is the first American location of a popular Japanese fast-food chain. You even get a free side dish on days when Hideki Matsui hits a home run. (The whole place is basically a shrine to him.) At any rate, I was the only non-Japanese person there, and that's usually a good sign. It's nothing at all like Indian or British curry, but it's quite yummy. http://www.japanator.com/elephant//u...urry2-620x.jpg |
What does it taste like, if not Indian curry? Is this in NYC?
|
looks like poo poo
|
As long as it was good, that is all that matters... Looks alone, do not want. |

No picture, but I had a pretty nice lunch from our cafeteria here at work today...
Leg of Lamb (medium rare) with a side of garlic mashed potatoes, sugar snap peas, and a few yeast rolls. Oh yeah! |

My wife bough me some beef sticks at this organic farm she goes to. First ingredient? Cow lips. Better by far than a Slim Jim. Them lips is good eatin'!

I think I just ate my last McDonalds for a while (I know I will falter eventually and give in to the cheap nastiness that is Mc). I stopped by one the other day when I was taking a little road trip, and after having not eaten fast food for quite a while, McDonalds was down right fucking disgusting(more so than normal). I ate a few bites of my over salted fries, my pitiful excuse for a burger and a few nibbles off the McNuggets and threw the rest away. I felt nasty for the rest of the day, like I was sweating the grease I just ate. what really pissed me off is I didn't realize it until I was sitting in the parking lot eating that there was a Whataburger right across the street that I some how didn't see. I'd just as well go hungry than eat low end fast food from now on, unless I'm in a real pinch.

^^^
Better off stopping at a deli than eating that garbage. The guy at the deli up the road from our shop charges me $5 a sammich. With a few drinks, maybe a bag of chips, tax and tip its always under $10. The guy washes his hands, actually puts MEAT on the thing and its a little family owned operation. At McDonald's you get the worst meat (if you can even call it that) possible on the planet, NOBODY washes their hands and your putting more money in a big company's already big pocket. |
you guys bring a tear to my eyes. and now I'm going to whore out something that probably most of you believe in--even though it's a little political:
https://secure3.convio.net/ucs/site/...Action&id=2999 cliffs: improve the availability of local food sources to improve health and food security. and write a letter to your government representatives and let them know you support local food and dislike factory farming that leads to nasty mcdonalds mystery cow burgers. basically when you see pictures of farms on packages of food, it's bullshit. make it real. plus even Braineack shops at the farmer's market so you KNOW it's cool! |

Just get chicken instead of hamburger. Less grease.
One fast food I will NEVER be able to go without every now and then is Milo's. I feel so sorry for you people not in this area who has never had one. Two beef patties, fried, put on some sort of bun, drenched in zesty brown gravy (special sauce, it's fucking good!) and onions, topped with a few dill pickles, and if you do it right, with a slice of cheese (and then ask for extra cheese), then the whole burger is put back on the grill and toasted/fried. Then an extra little cup of gravy to dip the orange fries in. Orange because they are coated with an awesome season salt. Open that wrapped and find a burger murder scene, sauce over everything. Then you have their fucking awesome sweet tea. I bet you could find a gallon jug of Milo's tea in 1/3 of households or more in the Milo's region. It's probably 1500 calories for one double cheese and a large fry, but goddamn I don't care! If you're ever in the Birmingham area, stop by and try one. There are at least 10 or 12 locations in the metro area, or central Alabama. Attachment 186526 PS, Fuck. Now I will have to go eat there tomorrow. Haven't had my arteries clogged like that recently. |

Typically places that don't know or care will answer something like this: "It's 100% natural" or "It's from this great supplier we've used since 1948" or "Good old American corn-fed beef!" or "It's fresh beef" If they answer with the name of a farm, then they are super win. |

Do me a favor when you go. Ask them where they get their beef and if it's hormone or antibiotic fed.

Damn that was good. Mega Meal combo. Double cheese, fries, sweet tea and a peach pie. $6.49, and all delectable.
